The Furneaux Creek mixed-use condo development is a project that addressed the complex adjacencies of the site to produce a new style of development for one of the last major undeveloped parcels in central Carrollton. The unique outcome is the result of a design that accommodates the City’s desire for a new urban development model and the Owner’s desire to attract a very specific market demographic.

This is one of the last parcels in this part of Carrollton to be developed so the City has a particular interest in how it is developed. There is a hope that this development will operate as a new model for future densification of the largely strip retail surrounding development. As part of this new development model, this project will attempt to establish a new urban street-front retail face, define a new streetscape for denser neighborhood development, create a strong link between the initial phase condos and second phase townhome development, and establish strong connections to city trails and other adjacent amenities.

Current patrons of the adjacent retail developments are considered to be the target market for the new residential units. Demand is expected to be particularly strong from Korean families looking to down-size once their children have left home and want to be in close proximity to Koreatown.
